Jessica Maria Gilhooley is a British + Colombian Actor trained at the prestigious Drama Centre London, known in the industry as the 'trauma centre' for its rigorous yet effective training. With notable alumni like Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender, and Anne-Marie Duff.
Jessica has worked on the BAFTA-winning TV series "I Am" on Channel 4, played Rosalia in Miramax's recent box office hit "The Beekeeper" alongside Jason Statham and Jeremy Irons, and is impressing audiences in the multi-award-winning British film "Halter" as Amanda. Her theatre credits include acclaimed performances such as Elaine Robinson in "The Graduate," a sold-out run as Miss Fern in "The Bad Seed," and a memorable US tour with the renowned comedy group Upright Citizens Brigade.
Before drama school Jessica completed a Business degree (BA Hons) specialising in Film with a distinction for her dissertation on the future of the British Film Industry. This, combined with an inspirational class held by Producer Derek Wax whilst studying at Drama Centre, has fueled her passion for storytelling behind the camera. Jess has produced short films like "Vengar" and "Mother & Daughter" and is currently co-producing a film with Gemma Chan (The Creator/Crazy Rich Asians). Additionally, Jessica has optioned a true story based on the memoir of Janette Rutterford, chronicling Janette's experiences in the 1970s pioneering as the first female in M&A at Rothschild Bank.
